About

The biggest risk in such constellations is that the dynamo provides a higher voltage than desired for the Lithium batteries. Orion-Tr Smart handles the power generated by the alternator and regulates it to what is optimal for the Lithium batteries. If it is set against traditional batteries, it can be set up with a charging algorithm. All setup is done easily via the Victron Connect app and Bluetooth.  

Bluetooth Smart

Fully programmable. All Bluetooth smartphones and tablets can be used to change settings, monitor functions or uodate with new software when they become available.

Charging algorithm

Battery charging algorithm (configurable) or fixed output. Smart alternator compatibility: motor running detection mechanism. Adaptive 3-step charging algorithm: bulk - absorption - flow.

For lead batteries, it is important that the absorption time after little use is kept short to prevent overcharging of the battery. After a deep discharge, the absorption time should be increased automatically to ensure that the battery is fully charged. For lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed, standard 2 hours. Alternatively, you can select a fixed output voltage.

Remote control on/off

An external on / off switch or relay contact can be connected to a two-pole contact. Alternatively, the H-terminal (right) of the two-pin connector can be replaced with a battery plus, or the L terminal (left) of the dual terminal can be changed to battery minus (or the chassis of a vehicle, etc.).

Unlimited devices

An unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel. Protected against high temperature, the effect decreases at high temperature. IP43 protection, when installed with the screw clamps oriented downwards.
